A(H1N1) Can Hit 90 Million Filipinos

Manila, Philippines – Department of Health (DOH) official Dr. Lyndon Lee Suy, Emerging and Re-Emerging Infectious Disease Program Head said that if we base the latest A(H1N1) virus spread rate this could hit almost 90 million Filipinos and that is 25% of Philippine population.

Influenza A(H1N1) virus is composed of a subtype of influenza virus A which is commonly cause of flu or influenza in human who easily infect people who have low immune system. H1N1 are strains which are endemic to all people that can cause low amount of all influenza-like illness and high amount of all seasonal influenza virus.
