Typhoon Juan – Megi
Manila, Philippines – Typhoon Juan – Megi (international name) is classified as a super typhoon that would make it a Category 5 storm. According to PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) Typhoon Juan (Megi) last spotted 1,200 kms East of Southern Tagalog with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph and gustiness reaching up to 150 kph moving 20 kilometers per hour towards the Philippines.
Pagasa forecast typhoon Juan (Megi) will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on early Saturday and expected to landfall over the Eastern coast of Cagayan-Isabela area on Monday afternoon and exit Vigan City in Ilocos Sur on Monday. Typhoon Juan (Megi) also expected to hit Northern Philippines on the weekend.

A typhoon warning advisory was issued by PAGASA advising the public to take necessary precautions especially those in the lower areas. Chief of Pagasa Graciano Yumul said, typhoon Juan (Megi) will bring heavy rains like tropical storm Ondoy and strong winds like typhoon Basyang.
